Idit Jacques

Idit Jacques is interested in Jewish environmental studies and the sustainable food movement. After reading Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food she started making her own cereal and minimized shopping in the middle of the grocery store. She dreams of owning a Jewish retreat center that involves agriculture, arts and Jewish studies. During the day she fills her time working as the Vice President of Jewish Education and Identity at the Columbus Jewish Federation. She lives in Bexley with her husband Steven and ponders where she is going to plant produce in her new back yard.
If she were a fruit or vegatable Idit would be a tomato because people who really knew her would know she was a fruit, but those with any street smarts would put her in the vegetable salad.

Stephanie Glass

Stephanie GlassStephanie has been a member of various CSA's for several years and is a strong local food advocate.  She is very excited to bring her two interests in food communities and Jewish communities together, and her vegetable of choice is the sugar snap pea.

Ariel Kohane

Ariel KohaneAriel is Agudas Achim's new environmental scholar-in-residence. Ariel hails from the O-H-I-O and is so excited to bring all of the awesome knowledge she learned while farming at Adamah, a Jewish farming program, back to her community. If Ariel could be a vegetable, she would be a yellow pepper. If you want to find out why, email her at akohane@agudasachim.org  (akohane@agudasachim.org)   and she'll tell you!
